ASSIGNMENT FOR LESSON 1: Download Preparing for Lesson 1 Prayer Companion

Download the Lesson 1 Prayer Companion and Lectio Divina handout. Read assigned readings and answer questions for your small group which will meet on Thursday, Feb. 6 after a brief introduction.

Time for God, Jacques Philippe

• In the first edition, the assignment is to read pages 7-43 and 82-86.

• In the second edition, the assignment is to read pages 1-2, 4-39, and 96-100.

Note: You need not cover the reflection questions in the second edition.

 Four books are required for the course. (See attached image.)

• Time for God, Jacques Phillippe (first or second edition)— Module 1 (Needed to complete homework for Lesson 1 due Feb. 6, and Lesson 2)
• The Parish as a School of Prayer, Father Scott Traynor, JCL — Module 1 (Lesson 3 and on)
• Discernment of Spirits, Fr. Timothy Gallagher — Module 1 (Lesson 5 and on)
• Prayer: Oxygen for the Soul, Jacques Phillippe — Module 2 (summer) & Module 3 (fall)
