CI Module III Schedule

Preparation and Homework for September 17

Below is the layout for the first three weeks of Module 3. We apologize for the confusion, but have found that for our purposes at the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute it is better suited to divide the first 3 weeks in the following way. (Please note each week has a handout that coincides with the teaching. The handouts will also be distributed at class.)

September 17: Intro 1691-1748

September 24: Lesson #1  1749-1775

October 1: Lesson #2  1776-1845

You can download the handout by clicking on the title of the lesson.

Welcome Nancy Shatek-Suek!

We are so blessed to have Nancy Shatek-Suek as the Class Coordinator for the Class of Blessed John Paul II! Nancy is a graduate of the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute from the Class of St. John Vianney and brings a wealth of energy, knowledge, and organization to the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute! Be sure and have her tell you (in the next year and a half) the story of her hephenated name. It's a good one! Welcome Nancy! Great to have you as part of the team!

What To Do If You Miss A Formative Session

This Saturday, October 15, will be our first Formative Session, and you will love it! The morning will be divided into two parts. The first part will begin with Mass at 8:00 am in St. Mary's Chapel at The St. Paul Seminary, followed by a time for refreshments at the Brady Educational Center. The second part of the formative session will begin with a reflection on discovering and appropriating the love of God given by Fr. Steven Hoffman, who is an amazing and inspiring teacher.

First, if you are unable to attend Saturday, please let me know via email at: Next, should you miss a Saturday Formative session, a podcast of the session will be posted on this site and you will be required to listen to it and write a two-page reflection paper on the topic of that session. This reflection will be due on Monday, October 24, and should be turned into me at the desk that night.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday!
