CI Life Skills Course for

Graduates/Students & Their Spouses

If you had to describe your relationship with Jesus, how would you do it? Would you say you are an enthusiastic fan? Is He highly influential in your decision-making and top of the list of influences in your life? In lesson one of this fall's Life Skills Course, we will look at the relationship between a Rabbi and his disciples. What are the marks of a disciple and what does it really mean to follow Jesus in a modern setting?

The four-week course, Jesus the Rabbi: Following Him Day by Day, will be taught by Jeff Cavins and is geared toward CI grads, current students and their spouses. The course will be held at Our Lady of Grace in Edina from 7pm - 9pm on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, November 15
  • Tuesday, November 22
  • Tuesday, November 29
  • Tuesday, December 6

Jesus the Rabbi: Following Him Day by Day

  • This course will focus on the dynamic relationship between a rabbi and his disciple in the first century. Building on this, lectures will elaborate on the daily disciplines and activities of the modern disciple and how to build that intimacy with Christ that we all long for.
  • The teachings in this course will help students avoid the rut of remaining a fan of Jesus, which is an enthusiastic admirer, verses becoming a dynamic follower.
  • Topics such as daily disciplines, hearing the voice of the Rabbi and other vital characteristics will be taught.
  • The goal of this course is to describe the relationship between Jesus and His disciples, and make it doable in the modern setting, all within the context of the church.

The cost of the 4-week lecture series is $100/person and will cover materials needed. (Spouses are $50/person)
